Art Gallery of St. Albert
ILL Winds is an exhibit of very large paintings by Keith Harder. A virtual exhibition tour takes place on Tuesday, June 22 at noon. Kiona Ligtvoet's These Are the Things is an installation of paintings with an assortment of nostalgic objects that explores the artist’s "non-linear means of storytelling, drawing from memory, writings and photographs." She describes the work as a “gentle attempt at navigating intergenerational barriers to grief, tenderness, and longing, in the presence of enfranchisement and personal displacement."
It opens in the Garage by appointment only to single-household groups. Until June 19.

Lowlands Project Space
If you like Ryland Fortie's sculpture in the St. Albert Botanical Garden then you can check out more of his work at In the Weeds. The new show is an outdoor exhibition of 12 artists in the yards, all part of a curatorial project by Steven Teeuwsen. Fortie is joined by Alicia Proudfoot, Anapaula Villanuevad, Andrew Thorne, Autumn Sjølie, Christina Krentz, and Rachael Warnock (CKXRW), Druvid, Jenny Shaw, Stephanie Florence, Stephanie Patsula, and Veronika McGinnis.
The indoor gallery space at Lowlands is currently exhibiting five artists from Nextfest Arts Co. Until July 24.

Events
Art in the Open takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sat., June 19. Members of the St. Albert Painters Guild will have their artworks on display in more than two dozen front yards across the city, rain or shine. Visit paintersguild.wildapricot.org/ArtInTheOpen for a full list and an interactive map. Each location offers a chance to enter a raffle for one of three paintings.
