Art Gallery of St. Albert

The Vault will feature Photos from the War in Afghanistan by St. Albert photographer David Bowering. Until Friday, Nov. 15.

Please note that the gallery will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 11, for Remembrance Day.

Visual Arts Studio Association

Lotus Art Gallery

Caprice features DDK (Doris Charest, Danièle Petit, and Karen Blanchet) with their abstract collection including a collaborative painting completed by all three artists. Women’s Art Museum

The DEVENIR collective (Doris Charest, Danièle Petit, Karen Blanchet, Sabine Lecorre-Moore, and Patricia Lortie) offer their latest exhibition, a work in progress called Stitched Time. Opening reception from 6:30 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14. Artists will be in attendance and will offer a presentation during that time. Until Wednesday, Dec. 11.

Kaasa Gallery

Shaping Alberta is a juried group exhibit that shares 10 Alberta artists' visual perspective on life and creativity. It reminds us how significant our environment/personal landscape is to us all and what we see and do every day shapes us personally. It also shapes our communities and our cultural identity. It’s a partnership between CARFAC Alberta and the Friends of the Alberta Jubilee Auditoria Society. The exhibit features St. Albert artists Jennifer Conneely and David Scott, along with Ilse Anysas-Salkauskas, Kelly Boreson-Charland, Norman Burnham White, Margriet Hogue, Debbie.lee Miszaniec, Tatianna O'Donnell, Sherry Richardson, and Rene Thibault. YEG Canvas

The new rotation of artworks is now on display for the Edmonton Arts Council’s third-annual public art project. Look for new works on various billboard and LRT poster locations throughout the capital city.

Father Douglas will be one of the featured artists in the Art Gallery of Alberta's Small Works Sale opening Thursday, Nov. 7, and running until Jan. 11, 2020. The Big Lake Artists' Studios and Hidden Talent Art School will be hosting a joint open house with Show and Sale featuring paintings, mixed media, custom mosaics, handmade journals, marbled paper, silk scarves, cards, prints, and more. Order & Chaos is the next Minbid Underground Art Auction event and it will be held in celebration of the event's sixth anniversary. Attendees are encouraged to choose a side and dress in light or dark (i.e. conformed or chaotic clothing) to help activate the event. There will be live art, music, drinks, and an electric art auction featuring MINBID’s emerging artist roster and a live performance by GODDESSA. More music and artist information will be announced soon. The event runs from 9 p.m. to midnight on Friday, Nov. 15 at Vignettes, 10420 103 Ave. in Edmonton.

The Country Craft Fair is ready for its massive annual event with more than 100 local artisans offering their products including bath, body, Christmas, décor, fibre, floral, food, glass, jewelry, painting, paper, photography, pottery, quilting, and wood products. Now marking its 34th year, the St. Albert Place Visual Arts Council’s fair runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 17. St. Albert Place. Free parking and free admission.
