The PreTenors & Kieran Martin Murphy CD Release Concert

The evening will begin with Edmonton powerhouse musical theatre performer and Mayfield Dinner Theatre regular Kieran Martin Murphy serving up a collection of songs from his latest solo album entitled “L-O-Vee Eee”. This second solo effort explores not just romance, but also other things we love; close friends, family and a good beer. Kieran has played such iconic roles as Jean Valjean in Les Miserables, Gus in CATS and King Arthur in Spamalot and has performed in major theatres across western Canada. He was also a regular cast member of CBC’s Irrelevant Show and one or two of the songs from his run on that program will be a part of this concert’s set list. Round out the evening with a performance from Edmonton’s beloved operatic/comedy trio … The PreTenors! They are always sure to please, serving up classics like Nessun Dorma and O Sole Mio with musical precision while they have you rolling in the aisles with laughter. It can be said that they are ‘total sellouts’ as they have sold out every performance they had during four separate runs at The Edmonton International Fringe Festival. This is a rare outing for the PreTenors so this is something not to be missed! The PreTenors are Ron Long, Trent Worthington and Kieran Martin Murphy, accompanied by ESO regular Jeremy Spurgeon on piano. Saturday, April 13 at 7:30 p.m., Laurier Heights Baptist Church, 8505 142 St., Edmonton. Ticket info available from Tix on the Square, 780-420-1757, or online at www.tixonthesquare.ca
