Cathy Bible is a lyrical abstract artist from Edmonton.  Lyrical Abstract Art is essentially free unrestrained creating from within the artist. That is where creativity, expressiveness, originality and individuality reside.  “The intuitive mind is a gift”, according to Einstein, and “it takes a touch of genius and a lot of courage to move in the opposite direction” of traditional representational art. In Keith Harder’s interconnected series, ILL Winds and Anamnesis, he examines the breakdown of materials (through exposure to atmosphere, light and microbes) and paints metaphorical images that speak to trauma and resilience. Harder’s paintings are a meditation on experiences of distress, threat and loss – both gradual and sudden. In Julian Forrest’s series, False Dilemma, he revisits the hero’s journey, examines instances of migration & conquest, and ponders the loss of masculine archetypes. Forrest’s work is inspired by depictions of masculinity, conflict, and the significance of place, specifically…

In creating, Cathy Bible uses her intuition and imagination with an energy that expresses itself on canvas. The viewer is captured…

Harder’s paintings are a meditation on experiences of distress, threat and loss – both gradual and sudden. In Julian Forrest’s series, False Dilemma, he revisits the hero’s journey, examines instances of migration & conquest, and ponders the loss of masculine archetypes. In Julian Forrest’s series, False Dilemma, he revisits the hero’s journey, examines instances of migration & conquest, and ponders the loss of masculine archetypes.
