Renaud is the incumbent candidate for the St. Albert riding. Prior to being elected as MLA in 2015, Renaud was the executive director of Lo-Se-Ca Foundation, a non-profit that provides support to adults with developmental disabilities. She has volunteered for organizations including the Handicapped Housing Society of Alberta and the Norwood Child and Family Resource Centre.
