Our Services

Whether you are simply planning for the future and need some legal advice, or your life has been turned upside down by a sudden change, we can guide you and provide you with sound, practical advice. With over 50 years of combined legal experience, we can help you make sense of the uncertainty you are facing and help you make the right decisions.

Our firm is proud to assist the people of St. Albert and the surrounding area with many of the problems and legal matters everyday people encounter.

Real Estate

The key to a successful real estate transaction is timing.

We work with your realtor and your bank representative or mortgage specialist to ensure that all details of the purchase or sale of your home or vacation property are properly attended to.

Real estate has been one of our firm’s core areas of practice for over 30 years.

For more information, contact our Real Estate Conveyancer, Nicole Korek, or reach her by phone at 780-459-0133. Also, feel free to speak with either Michael C. Good or Wendy M. Phillips-Berard.  You can also check out some Real Estate FAQs by clicking here and selecting the Real Estate category.

Collaborative Divorce

The key to a smooth divorce is collaboration.

Collaborative Divorce is a new option for separated or divorcing couples to resolve disputes respectfully and equitably without going to court. The effects of divorce on children and the quality of life after divorce are especially relevant in Collaborative Divorce.

If you would like to learn more about the structure and method of the process locally, please go to the Association of Collaborative Family Professionals (Edmonton) website. Or, click here to read the Association of Collaborative Family Professionals (Edmonton)’s Participation Agreement.

Family law

When a relationship has trouble, it can be a very challenging and emotional time. Getting reasonable and accurate advice can go a long way toward diffusing some of the stress partners experience and helping them work toward a realistic and appropriate resolution.

We can also provide independent legal advice on the terms of legal agreements dealing with separation matters, including parenting, financial support, and property allocation.

If you wish to resolve your differences without resorting to expensive and stressful court proceedings, our firm would be happy to assist you with obtaining your divorce and creating a lasting resolution to your issues.

Estate planning and administration

Estate planning includes planning for your death, as well as for your care and your estate if you become incapacitated. Planning for your death or incapacity can be a difficult and worrisome undertaking for many people. Our firm has many years of experience dealing with such matters and would be happy to discuss any questions you may have.

For more information, please contact our Wills & Estates Assistant, Amanda Moroz, or telephone our office at 780-459-0133. You may also speak with Wendy M. Phillips-Berard.
