Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Engineering Site Inspector to join our team on a part-time, project-based basis. This role is ideal for seasoned professionals in the industry who wish to leverage their expertise to supplement their income. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that construction projects adhere to design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.​

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct on-site inspections of civil engineering projects, including roadways, water-mains, sewers, grading, and other municipal infrastructure works.

Ensure contractor compliance with approved drawings, specifications, municipal standards, and applicable regulations.

Maintain accurate daily inspection reports, site diaries, and photographic records.

Measure and document quantities for payment verification and contract administration.

Coordinate with project managers, contractors, utility companies, and local stakeholders.

Monitor health and safety compliance on site.

Identify and report any deficiencies, delays, or non-conformance issues.

Attend site meetings and provide input related to construction progress and inspection findings.​

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3–5 years of site inspection experience on municipal infrastructure projects in Ontario.

Strong knowledge of Ontario Provincial Standards (OPS), Ontario Building Code, and municipal engineering standards.

Valid Ontario driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.

Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with digital inspection/reporting tools.​
