Thirst-quenching liquor

Team Liquor, a new store showcasing a large variety of hard liquor, beer, and wine opened Tuesday, March 22.

Owner Raman Deep worked in the liquor industry for nine years before opening the 3,400-square-foot operation in Inglewood Village.

“I used to live in St. Albert before I moved to Edmonton. I love this place and wanted to do business here,” said Deep.

Team Liquor is located at 525 St. Albert Trail next to Good Life Fitness.

Popeyes chicken

Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, a new quick-service venture, officially opened its doors on Friday, March 11. An American franchise with more than 2,700 restaurants in the United States and world-wide, the St. Albert location is owned by Eddie Tsang and Kyle Ferbey.

The restaurant draws on the culinary traditions of Cajun-Creole fried chicken, seafood, and sandwiches. Although there are only five tables inside the restaurant, Popeyes offers a double drive-thru for on-the-go customers.

“We own and operate 15 in northern Alberta and are looking to expand to 25 by 2025,” said Kayla Spencer, marketing manager.

Popeyes is located at 975 St. Albert Trail, unit 400, across from Costco.
