Westlock RCMP find large quantity of meth, cocaine

Westlock RCMP investigated reports of possible drug trafficking in the area on March 12. A CDSA search warrant was executed the following day.

A Westlock woman is facing multiple drug charges after allegedly being found in possession of a large quantity of methamphetamines, cocaine and various other drugs on March 13. 

According to a press release, Westlock RCMP officers were conducting patrols in the community about possible drug trafficking in the area and “identified activities consistent with drug trafficking.” 

After further information, a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant was obtained and executed on Wednesday. 

As a result of the search warrant, 84.85 grams of meth and 7.64 grams of cocaine were seized, as well as 15 grams of marijuana, 0.5 grams of morphine, 4.35 grams of psilocybin (a chemical obtained from magic mushrooms), 13 Lorazepam tablets (a medication used to treat anxiety) and several bottles of GHB (gamma hydroxybutyrate, which is used as a depressant) totalling 805 millilitres. 

RCMP also seized $2,517 in cash and two cartons of contraband cigarettes. 

A woman charged in connection with the search warrant was brought before a Justice of the Peace and has been remanded into custody. 

She is set to appear at the Alberta Court of Justice in St. Albert on March 18, 2024. 

Lana Kayla Wolfe, 46, is charged with five counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, one count of possession of the proceeds of crime under $5,000, and one count of possession of unstamped tobacco.
