Suspect in custody after gun pointed at two women in Northern Alberta

Police Dog Services involved in tracking down suspect in St. Paul who pointed firearm at women and then got into their vehicle and drove off.

ST. PAUL, Alta. - One man is in custody following an incident late Wednesday evening where a firearm was pointed at two women in St. Paul.

RCMP are reporting that at approximately 10 p.m. on  Oct 19, they received a 911 call for a robbery with a firearm near 4921-55 Ave.

“A male allegedly approached two females, pulled a firearm from his sleeve and pointed it at the females. The male then got into their vehicle and drove off,” according to an RCMP statement. 

“RCMP members patrolled the streets in town looking for the vehicle, which was found parked on 51 Street. Police Dog Services were able to get a track from the vehicle, leading them to the firearm. A male approached one of the officers, and after determining he was the suspect, was arrested and is being held for a judicial hearing.”
