St. Paul RCMP seeking hit-and-run driver who seriously injured pedestrian

Police are looking to the public to track down a driver who hit a pedestrian and fled, on Friday evening along Highway 29.

ST. PAUL - A pedestrian was airlifted by STARS air ambulance after being hit by a vehicle along Highway 29, not far from the Town of St. Paul.

On Friday night at about 7:10 p.m., police were dispatched to a pedestrian hit and run along Highway 29. St. Paul police are now looking to the public for help in identifying the driver responsible for hitting the individual.

"The suspect vehicle fled the scene," according to RCMP. "The vehicle is described as a 2015 to 2017 dark grey F250. It has damage to the drivers side trailer mirror and has a burnt out drivers side headlight."

Residents reported hearing STARS air ambulance arrive in St. Paul following the incident.

St. Paul Fire Chief Trevor Kotowich confirmed Friday evening that the incident happened west of St. Paul.
