Edson RCMP are charging a 35-year-old man for a break and enter on a lease site near Sundance Provincial Park on May 14.

Police say the suspect vehicle was spotted leaving the location and heading south on Highway 47 towards Robb.

While patrolling the area, Edson RCMP located the suspect vehicle in Robb with a male, known to police, behind the wheel.

The silver Chevrolet truck had been stolen the day prior from a residence in Edson.

The RCMP officer arrested the male for possession of stolen property.

The male and the truck were searched incidental to arrest and other stolen property was found, including copper wires from the oil lease site.

Scott Aaron Waddell, 35, a resident of Edson, was charged with break and enter to a compound, damage to property, possession of stolen property and illegal possession of a driver’s license.

Waddell was released on conditions and will appear in Edson court on June 18.
