Premier Danielle Smith has made changes to her cabinet and caucus leadership following the conclusion of the spring sitting of the legislature.
The new cabinet includes both seasoned and newly appointed ministers.
"I'm eager to collaborate with this dedicated team to fulfill the commitments we made to Albertans during the last election," said Smith. "Our government has already addressed many key priorities of Albertans, but we know there is more work to do, and I'm excited to continue working alongside each of my cabinet colleagues as we move forward an ambitious agenda for Albertans.”
Below is a list of members taking on new roles in the Alberta cabinet:
- Myles McDougall, Minister of Advanced Education,
- Matt Jones, Minister of Hospital and Surgical Health Services,
- Rajan Sawhney, Minister of Indigenous Relations
- Joseph Schow, Minister of Jobs, Economy, Trade, and Immigration
- Minister of Mental Health and Addiction, Rick Wilson
- Dan Williams, Minister of Municipal Affairs
- Adriana LaGrange, Minister of Primary and Preventative Health Services
- Andrew Boitchenko, Minister of Tourism and Sport
- Mohammed Yaseen, Associate Minister of Multiculturalism
- Grant Hunter, Associate Minister of Water
Cabinet members will be responsible to work together on pressing issues for Albertans, including growing the economy, tackling affordability and reforming the health care system.
