Canada-wide warrant issued for murder of Okotoks woman

Gerald Russell FROMMELT, 37, is wanted on Canada-wide warrant for second-degree murder in what is being described by police as domestically-motivated homicide. Twenty-three-year-old Jamie Scheible was shot and killed April 7 in Calgary.

A warrant for second-degree murder has been issued for Gerald Russell FROMMELT, 37.

The Calgary Police Service (CPS) has issued a warrant Wednesday for the murder of a woman hailing from Okotoks.

On April 7 at approximately 7:15 p.m., a press release from CPS stated police were dispatched to the 300 block of Templeview Drive NE after reports of gunshots.

Officers found a woman unconscious and in medical distress, but she later succumbed to her injuries.

The victim was identified as 23-year-old Jamie Lynn Scheible, a former Okotoks high school grad and cheerleader.

A Canada-wide warrant for second-degree murder has been issued for Gerald Russell FROMMELT, 37.

FROMMELT is described as 6 feet 2 inches tall, approximately 250 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes.
