WASHINGTON (AP) — Saniya Rivers scored 17 points, Olivia Nelson-Ododa had 15 points and nine rebounds, and the Connecticut Sun beat the Washington Mystics 80-69 on Tuesday night to end a 13-game road losing streak.
Connecticut (7-27) secured its first road win since May 30 against Indiana to improve to 2-15 away from home. The Sun have won five of their last six road games against the Mystics, with a 104-67 loss earlier this season.
Tina Charles added 13 points and nine rebounds for Connecticut. Aaliyah Edwards scored eight points in 16 minutes in her first game against her former team.
Sonia Citron led Washington (16-19) with 19 points. Shakira Austin added 12 points and Jade Melbourne had 11. Citron passed Chamique Holdsclaw (525) for most points by a rookie in Washington’s franchise history — with nine games remaining.

CHICAGO (AP) — Skylar Diggins scored 24 points, Nneka Ogwumike added 21 points and Seattle beat Chicago.
Chicago (8-26) has lost five games in a row and 13 of its last 14.
Dominique Malonga had 15 points, seven rebounds and a career-high three blocks for Seattle (18-18). The 19-year-old rookie hit 7 of 13 from the field and has made 106 total field goals to become the first player in WNBA history with 100 field goals before the age of 20.
Brittney Sykes scored 12 points and Ezi Magbegor had 11 points, eight rebounds and four blocks for the Storm.
Angel Reese, who returned from a seven-game absence due to a back injury, and Ariel Atkins scored 19 points apiece for Chicago and Kia Nurse added 13. Kamilla Cardoso had 10 points, six rebounds, six assists and three blocks and Elizabeth Williams added 10 points and nine rebounds.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — A’ja Wilson had 32 points, 12 rebounds and five blocks to help Las Vegas win their eighth straight game, a victory over Atlanta.
Wilson, who entered averaging 28.4 points and 14.4 rebounds in her last five games, secured her 116th career double-double — and 33rd with at least 30 points and 10 rebounds. It was Wilson’s third straight 30-point game and third career game with 30-plus points, 10-plus rebounds and five-plus blocks — the most in WNBA history, surpassing Brittney Griner and Candace Parker.
Jackie Young added 16 points and Chelsea Gray had eight points, seven rebounds and 11 assists for Las Vegas (22-14). Wilson, who was 12 of 24 from the field, became the youngest and fastest player in WNBA history to reach 2,000 career made field goals.
Rhyne Howard had 19 points and six assists for led Atlanta (22-13), which had won seven of its last eight games. Allisha Gray and Griner each added 16 points.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Kahleah Copper scored 25 points with five 3-pointers, Satou Sabally scored 10 of her 17 points after halftime, and Phoenix came back to beat short-handed Golden State.
Veronica Burton scored 13 of her 24 points in the second quarter and dished out a career-high 14 assists as Golden State took control, but the team couldn’t make the key defensive plays down the stretch.
The Mercury roared back late with a 20-8 run over nearly seven minutes before Carla Leite’s 3-pointer for the Valkyries with 6:33 remaining.
Alyssa Thomas added 13 points, nine rebounds and eight assists for Phoenix, which outscored Golden State 21-14 in the third quarter to get within 73-68. The Mercury pulled to 77-76 on Sabally’s 3 at the 8:39 mark of the fourth then she put her team ahead on a layup the next time down.
Leite wound up with 15 points in her sixth start. Janelle Salaun added 13 points — 11 in the opening period for her best scoring performance in one quarter — and six rebounds.
