Do you love the rodeo? You are needed to help at this exciting local annual event. Volunteers are needed as gate monitors, grandstand monitors, parade control and green team. The rodeo takes place May 26, 27 and 28. A variety of shifts to choose from. Minimum age to volunteer is 16, however some positions require volunteers to be 18.

Help at this family focused, kids’ triathlon with lots of multisport fun, Sunday, June 11 in St. Albert. Emphasis is on fun and safety. Volunteers work at the pool counting laps, outside directing traffic on the bike and run route, helping with snacks/refreshments, or at water stations. Marshals help athletes find their way and boost the morale of the kids by cheering them on! Minimum age to volunteer is 16.

Assist to porter residents to and from the hair salon, in a local St. Albert long-term care facility. Hair stylist may require some assistance as well. You should enjoy visiting with residents and be comfortable with residents with dementia and physical limitations. Minimum age is 16 years of age and shifts are available Tuesday, Wednesday and/or Thursday mornings.

Remember how much fun summer camp was? This is your opportunity to volunteer at a summer camp on Wabamun Lake. Your help is needed to assist staff with camp programming and activities such as crafts, games, water activities, nature hikes and more. Camps start June 12th and go until Aug. 17th. Minimum age is 15.

Do have a strong connection to the amazing work of the CNIB? You are needed to assist this organization by representing them to the general public, setting up displays, demonstrating sale products, handing out forms and providing information. Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license and driver’s abstract.

Do you have a good understanding of financial management and accounting procedures? Help this local St. Albert non-profit organization in a treasurer capacity to keep full and accurate financial records and produce monthly financial statements for reporting purposes. Meetings take place on the second Tuesday of each month.

Want to get more involved in your community? Block parties are an excellent way to get to know your neighbour. Help the St. Albert Food Bank and Community Village assemble and distribute block party kits on Fridays as well as take in returned kits on Mondays. Other tasks to assist the food bank in regular duties may be required. This role takes place from May through September. They are still looking for a Monday volunteer.

Be part of a fun festival that inspires and ignites the imaginations of the young and young at heart. This is a great opportunity to meet new people, learn new skills, and share a magical experience with over 55,000 children and families. Assist with performances, crafts, hospitality, green team, and tons of other opportunities! No experience necessary. Festival runs May 30 to June 4 in St. Albert.
