Stabbing at Beer Hunter

Charges are pending after a stabbing at the Beer Hunter pub.

On Tuesday night just before 9 p.m. police and EMS responded to a stabbing at the Beer Hunter. One man was stabbed and transported to an Edmonton hospital in stable condition.

A 35-year-old man from St. Albert was arrested a short time later without incident.

The victim and suspect were known to one another and police say there is no risk to the public.

Police are continuing to investigate and charges are pending.

This is the second time a knife was pulled at the Beer Hunter in a month.

On Sunday Aug. 27 at around 1:30 a.m. the RCMP were flagged down by the security officers at the Beer Hunter. A pub patron had been asked to leave the pub earlier in the night and he had returned to the area with a knife, which he held towards the security officers.

Security was able to get the knife away from the suspect before he ran away from the area.

The man is described as Caucasian with short dark hair. He was wearing black pants and a short-sleeved shirt at the time.

Vehicle theft

Police are looking for information about a truck that was stolen earlier this month from the Riel Business Park.

At around 11:30 p.m. the St. Albert RCMP responded to the theft of a work truck and trailer. An employee noted that the equipment and trailer were in the yard earlier that day.

The truck is a 1999 white Dodge Ram 3500 with decals on the sides of the truck that say “Patio Magic.” The box of the truck has a dump box with the decal “DumperDog” on the side.

Attached to the truck is a 2014 Trail Tech trailer with yard equipment in it. A large bin is bolted to the deck of the trailer. A 2009 white Bobcat 570 is parked on the trailer with the decal “Patio Magic” on the side.

Anyone with information about these or any other crimes is asked to contact St. Albert RCMP at 780-458-7700 or the Morinville RCMP at 780-939-4550. Anonymous tips can be provided to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or at www.tipsubmit.com.
