Freshii, a fast food restaurant devoted to healthy food opened at the north end of St. Albert Trail located by Costco. Its fare includes salads, soups, burritos, and frozen yogurt.
The new location has 1,219 square feet of space in the Erin Ridge Shopping Centre. It’s the first location to come to St. Albert with 10 other locations in Edmonton.
Matthew Yamashita, owner of the new location, said his favourite part is opening the store with his partner, Jacques Botha.
“We’ve been working on this for over a year now so finally opening and interacting with the community has been the best part,” he said.
The restaurant is open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday to Friday and 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekends.
A new Lowe’s Canada is expected to open in the beginning of February at the north end of St. Albert Trail.
The home improvement store is part of Cameron Developments, the developer who has been working on the Erin Ridge Shopping Centre.

Coffee lovers looking for a quick fix may have noticed that the Second Cup on Bellerose Drive is temporarily closed.
The coffee shop has had a change in ownership and is currently undergoing renovations. Coffee-addicts shouldn’t fret for too long, as it’s expected to reopen in early February.
