Mark Turnbull on St. Albert’s future

What do you envision for the future of St. Albert?

Do you want it to remain a haven for large single-family dwelling lots. Do you want more density? Do you see a mix?

Is St. Albert a vital part of the Edmonton capital region? Is the city’s growth being managed with other communities and their plans in mind, or does St. Albert’s vision stop at its civic boundaries?

When it comes time to make decisions at council on planning items and policy, what council’s really doing is setting up this community’s future. The decisions made by the council candidates who are hoping to join could easily reverberate decades down the road.

With that in mind, our final question for candidates before St. Albertans vote on June 24 was about the future of this city.

Question:

What is your vision for the future of St. Albert?

Mark Turnbull

St. Albert remains a prosperous city where residents take pride knowing they live an exceptional quality of life. St. Albert would consist of mixed generational communities and have a sustainable tax base. St Albert preserves its natural scenic river valley environment and provides suitable recreational facilities necessary to promote healthy generations. Finally, I imagine a city where our future civic leaders govern with pride rather than hide on Twitter.
