Girl touched inappropriately

Local RCMP are investigating after a local teen reported being touched inappropriately by a man.

St. Albert RCMP are looking for a man believed to have had an inappropriate conversation with a teenaged girl, after which he touched her inappropriately.

A news release distributed Wednesday afternoon said the incident took place around 12:30 p.m. near Garden Crescent. The man allegedly approached the girl and “had an inappropriate conversation with the girl and then touched her inappropriately.”

The man did not use force and the girl was able to walk away. The man did not follow her. The release states police do not believe the incident was random and that no other youth have reported any similar encounters.

The RCMP are looking for the man, who they describe as a person of interest. According to the news release, he is black, between 5’6” and 5’8” and might speak with an accent.
