Q: What was your primary motivation to seek elected office?
I wish to continue to serve my community and assist Sturgeon County in reaching its full potential.

Q: What skills and experiences have prepared you for this office?
Before being elected I coordinated two regional programs; served on regional and provincial committees related to my field of expertise; secretary-treasurer for two separate school districts; and served on a variety of volunteer boards and service clubs including my local community association.
I am known for my strong work ethic, preparedness for meetings and work in developing and maintaining strong and respectful relationships.
I have been recognized a number of times for my service to community most recently through the United Nations’ International Women’s Day award.

Q: What do you think are the most important issues to the community at large?
Sturgeon County residents have asked for low taxes; better roads; accountability; smart growth/protection of farmland; continued economic development; safe communities; and positive relationships with all levels of government, regional stakeholders, within council itself and most important with residents.

Q: What specific goals will you work to achieve if elected?
Taxes – Residential taxes remain lowest in region and non-residential taxes are competitive.
New Industrial Revenue – Continue to plan/demonstrate revenue is used first and foremost to the long term benefit of Sturgeon County.
Roads – Build upon Sustainable Road Improvement Strategy & Gravel Road Improvement Plan. Ensure right investments on the right things at the right time. Simply communicate.
Accountability – All decisions made by council are measured to the strategic plan and demonstrated on a check list attached to decision requests.  This is public – review to ensure better communication of this.
