Q: What was your primary motivation to seek elected office?
I believe in public education and removing barriers so that all students can reach their full potential no matter what their challenges or circumstances may be. I want to work with students, teachers, and parents/guardians to ensure the St. Albert Public School system remains strong and meets the needs of all students.

Q: What skills and experiences have prepared you for this office??
I have a community perspective with two children in the public school system. With both my children having challenges, I have been actively involved in their education and advocating on their behalf. I want to continue to advocate on behalf of all students.
I have also volunteered with many non-profit organizations and understand that working as a team requires effective communication, accountability, and dedication while holding up the values and principles of the organization you are working for.

Q: What do you think are the most important issues to the community at large?
St. Albert Public must continue to meet the challenges of student needs. Inclusion and Diversity continue to be important issues to the community as it continues to grow. St. Albert also needs to ensure students stay engaged in their community locally but also globally.

Q: What specific goals will you work to achieve if elected?
Student Centred Learning – Students need to be at the centre of all decisions made so that all barriers to education can be removed and that students are receiving the best education.
Diversity and Inclusion – I want to ensure that all students have a safe place to learn and grow in their schools and we continue to meet the needs of all students.
Creating Global Citizens – Encouraging students to not only think within their community but also globally. This provides greater understanding and awareness of social, economic, political, and environmental issues.
