Tweten, Roger Colin October 23, 1961 to July 10, 2012 Carol, Taya and Tayt are deeply saddened to announce the passing of their husband and father. Roger passed away on Tuesday July 10, 2012 at the age of 50 years after a short fight against cancer. Roger was an amazing man with an outgoing and generous spirit, a great sense of humor and a hearty laugh. He touched many lives in a very positive way. Like his dad, his words and actions were always genuine - doing what he wanted for others and expecting nothing in return. Roger was deeply committed to his wife of 27 years and his daughter Taya and his son Tayt. In addition to participating in many activities together, he also supported his children in their sports and music. He could be found cheering on the sidelines, sweeping the BMX track, assisting with Ringette practices and being the roadie for Tayt's band. Roger was also committed to his customers making many strong, long lasting friendships along the way. He will be forever loved and remembered by Carol, Taya and Tayt; a large family and many friends. Thanks to the many Nurses and Doctors at the Cross Cancer Institute who helped to make Roger comfortable. Many thanks to all of our friends and family who supported us during this very difficult time. Thanks to an amazing crew of friends who spent long days in the sun transforming our yard into a legacy for Roger. Details of a memorial for Roger will be provided at a later date.
