The St. Albert Gazette… Your Community Newspaper
St. Albert Gazette is published every Wednesday and Saturday by:
Founded in 1961, in the centennial year of Alberta's oldest permanent settlement, The Gazette has chronicled the lives of residents and events for St. Albert and the Sturgeon area for more than 50 years. From our beginnings as an eight-page 8 1/2" x 11" community newsletter to today's twice-weekly, full-colour tabloid, we have focused on providing our readers award-winning journalism in every issue. Our advertising, creative and news teams have collected more than 200 industry honours in the past 20 years. The Canadian Community Newspapers' Association has named us the best newspaper in the country in 2000, 2001, 2005, 2008 and 2012.
The City of St. Albert is one of Alberta's fastest growing communities. It has the highest education levels and the second-highest household income in the province. Located in the beautiful Sturgeon River valley on Edmonton's northern boundary, the city is home to over 60,000 residents. To the north another 22,000 residents live in the towns, villages, acreages and farms of Sturgeon County.
