Childrens festival
Now is the time to get involved in St. Alberts International Childrens Festival, May 27 to 31. Opportunities to volunteer are many and varied for volunteers aged 12 and up. Hosting
Be one of more than 300 volunteer hosting staff to help showcase this blockbuster exhibition to thousands of visitors June 13 to Oct. 13. Welcome the public, respond to questions and help direct visitors. Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain standing for extended periods of time.
Health/medical specialist
Bring your medical skills to this volunteer team and help showcase this exhibition June 13 to Oct. 13. Work at an educational touch table station and share your knowledge of human anatomy to engage visitors in medical information and respond to their questions.
Underwear Affair
Have some fun for a great cause, raising monies for cancers below the waist. Help out at check in, on the course and at check-in points along the route. Event day is June 14.
The Works
Thirteen days of visual art, live music and free fun, June 20 to July 2. Fifteen different volunteer positions available, from assembling and dismantling exhibits to working in the beverage gardens or as exhibit attendants. Choose the position and the time to match your schedule.
Summer reading program
A number of volunteers aged 14 and up who enjoy working with children, love books and are mature and dependable are required June 26 to Aug. 20. Shifts are just three hours and flexible to accommodate volunteers schedule.
Circulation department
Student volunteers aged 14 and older are needed to re-shelf paperback books. Position runs June 26 to Aug. 20 and shifts are two hours twice a week, weekdays and Saturday.
Family keepsakes
What a wonderful gift to capture life stories of Edmonton elders. Interviews have been conducted, now volunteers who wish to develop their artistic and writing skills are needed to assist with transcription, story writing and/or layout and design. This unique volunteer opportunity can be done from your home. |
