The St. Albert Impact and Edmonton Warriors combined for seven goals in the last 15 minutes of Tuesday’s premier women’s match in the Edmonton District Soccer Association.

It was scoreless until MacKenzie Sharun, a U16 Impact trialist, found the back of the net for the Impact (5-5-4) in the 6-1 victory at Riel Park.

Danica Blasius and Ali Croisetiere tallied twice in the team’s third win in a row.

Christina Malbrecht, an Impact call-up, also scored and Charlotte Lendzion was in net against the Warriors (1-11-2).

Sunday against the Ital Canadians/Inter SC/Wolves (0-12-2), the Impact led 3-0 at halftime and then hung on for the 3-2 decision.

Jessica Rankine potted a pair and Croisetiere also connected at Riel Recreation Park.

The Impact play the Angels Scottish SC (7-4-3) at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Scottish fields.

Marc Tetreau’s hat-trick for the St. Albert Impact Rangers highlighted Monday’s division 1A match in the Edmonton District Soccer Association.

Brent (Irish) Jenkins also scored in the 4-1 victory against Polonia (1-10-2) at Riel Park.

The offensive outburst lifted Tetreau into the team lead in goals with eight, one more than Mike Thompson.

The Rangers (7-3-3) wrap up league play Aug. 10 against the Rising Stars (1-5-7) at 7 p.m. at Riel Park.

Wednesday’s 2-0 setback against Southwest United left the St. Albert Impact stuck in fourth place in the Edmonton District Soccer Association’s division 1B table.

It’s the third consecutive match and fifth of the season the Impact (6-5-1) failed to generate a goal, despite several quality scoring chances in the hard-fought affair against first-place Southwest (8-2-3) at Riel Park.

Three of the top 10 division scorers are Impact players. Will Backhouse is the team leader with six and Alan Smith and Noah Boyko have five apiece.

The Impact plays Sherwood Park/Karpaty (6-1-5) at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Millennium Place.

The St. Albert Impact division 1B women are undefeated in four matches after recording their eighth win this season in the Edmonton District Soccer Association.

Goals by MacKenzie Sharun and Christina Malbrecht broke a 1-1 stalemate at halftime in Wednesday’s 3-1 outcome against the Angels Scottish Classics (3-8-1) at Riel Park.

Karen Vriens also scored and Michelle Brodeau was in net for the Impact (8-4-2), ranked third in the division table.

Malbrecht is the team leader in goals with five.

The next match is Wednesday versus ASC Inter (8-1-3) at 7 p.m. at the ESA Complex.

The first-place St. Albert Impact division 3A women have one match remaining in the Edmonton District Soccer Association before the Tier 3 provincial playdowns.

The Impact (12-1) hosts S.S. Lazio (7-1-5) Aug. 10 at 7 p.m. at Riel Park.

The playdowns kick off Aug. 19 to determine the two EDSA reps at Tier 3 provincials next month in Calgary.

The Impact’s third win in a row and fifth shutout this season was Monday’s 6-0 decision over the Lightning Ladies (3-8-2) in St. Albert.

Jacey Carroll is the Impact’s top scorer with 15 goals, one back of the division leader. The top 10 includes Chloe Schmaltz (nine) and Melanie Seidel (eight).
