Two men will be facing charges of break and enter, possession of stolen property and possession of a controlled substance in connection with a break in at Leo Nickerson Elementary School.
On July 14 around 6:30 p.m., St. Albert RCMP received a report that there were two men acting suspiciously behind Leo Nickerson school. The resident said the men were walking away from the school carrying a large, heavy garbage bag.
When RCMP arrived they found that the school had been broken into and four mini Mac computers had been stolen. They were not able to locate the suspects.
The next day around 4:45 p.m., a resident called RCMP to report two suspicious men near a parked car behind Vital Grandin school.
RCMP immediately responded and arrested two 18-year-old men for possession of a controlled substance. In the car they found the four Mac computers that had been stolen the day before.
One of the men is a St. Albert resident and the other is a former resident who now lives in Edmonton.
As charges are still being processed, RCMP are not releasing the names of the accused at this time.
