The Cool Dads are set to grace LB’s Pub with “danceable” music this Saturday evening.

The performance will be about the sixth time the band has played at LB’s Pub. The quartet comprised of single dads, plays anything from “Waylon to Halen” describes Robb Gott, who plays guitar and is one of the vocalists in the group.

“We play mostly danceable music. We try to play to the crowd,” explains Gott on The Cool Dads’ sound.

“The audience seems to respond really well.”

The group has about a dozen original songs, as well as playing a variety of crowd-pleasing cover songs, including artists such as: The Allman Brothers Band, The Who, Eric Clapton, and The Tragically Hip.

The group consists of Gott and Tom Lozeron on the guitar and vocals, Richard Belley on the bass and vocals, and Dave Vasiek on the drums.

“Our drummer came up with the name, because… well, we’re all single dads,” explains Gott with a laugh.

Are these local rockers still single, though?

They remain cool, “But, we’ve got girlfriends now.”

Catch The Cool Dads at LB’s Pub (#23 Akins Drive, Appleyard Square) starting at 9:30 p.m. Saturday night. No cover fee. For info on The Cool Dads and other local performance, go to
