Downtown is no place for negativity

I have to agree with Morel Mason’s letter of May 28, entitled “Downtown is a special place” regarding John Smith's letter of May 24.

As someone who works and shops in downtown St. Albert, I see how hard the downtown merchants work to try to make St. Albert a special place. The success of angle parking remains to be seen but at least the city is trying.

Mr. Smith may not wish to shop local and experience the wonderful service and unique businesses and restaurants found in our downtown but to call the downtown a black hole does nothing to improve our city.

Keep those negative thoughts to yourself!

Karen Olson, St. Albert
