I was very saddened by John W. Smith’s comments in his angle parking letter of May 24 when he referred to downtown St. Albert as a non event and black hole.

Maybe he has never had the opportunity to shop, dine and participate in our many downtown activities throughout every season.

Our dedicated small business owners provide such personal and caring service. Whether you are looking for a gift, buying a book, some new clothes, bike gear, picking up some fresh organic food or having a delicious meal out – we are so well taken care of.

The events we can all participate in offer something for everyone, from the ArtWalk in the summer to the Light Up St. Albert event in the winter and of course our famous farmers’ market ... to only mention a few.

St. Albert’s quaint and friendly downtown is a very special place that will always enrich your day and put a smile on your face.
