Bantam AAA

The Bantam AAA St. Albert Cardinals dropped their first game in the provincial round of play to the Sherwood Park Athletics May 21 at Legion Memorial Park.

The Cards gave up three unearned runs to Sherwood Park. Pitcher Dan Gerlach, in relief, then struck out four hitters, and allowed only two hits.

The boys then cranked four runs in the sixth inning to narrow the gap, and left the bases loaded in the seventh.

Despite the simmering comeback, the boys could not come out on top.

The Bantam AAA team is on the road to Calgary this weekend to compete in a pair of double headers.
