CFO resigns

The city’s chief financial officer has resigned.

A news release stated Anita Ho concluded her employment with the City of St. Albert on May 9. Ho started with the city in April 2012.

“I would like to acknowledge Anita’s contribution to the City, particularly in the areas of financial controls and accounting and supporting Council and Administration through two budgets and two positive annual audits of the City’s financial position,” said city manager Patrick Draper in the release.

New photo radar contractors

The city has awarded a five-year contract for photo enforcement to Global Traffic Group Ltd., effective July 2.

Photo enforcement, which includes mobile photo radar enforcement units and speed-on-green/red light cameras in St. Albert, has been provided by Xerox Business Services Canada since 2001.

“Photo enforcement is an integral part of our Traffic Safety Program and has been proven to change driver behaviour. It is vital that we as a City do everything we can to ensure our residents safety,” stated mayor Nolan Crouse in the news release.

Mayor hosts inclusive luncheon

Crouse will host the annual luncheon celebrating inclusive employment on Wednesday.

This is the third annual luncheon. This year’s topic is diversity and workplace culture.

The keynote speaker is Margo Ross Graham, vice president integration at Williams Engineering and a radio columnist. Cindy de Bruijn of the Gateway Association will also speak.
