Jr. rugby camp
The St. Albert Rugby Football Club is hosting a junior camp May 4 for elementary, junior high and high school males and females.
The camp starts at 9 a.m. and ends at 2 p.m. Lunch is provided.
All participants receive a training top and mouth guard.
Instruction will be provided by SARFC coaches and senior players.
The registration fee is $30 and the deadline is May 2.

SARFC is home to the largest junior program in Alberta and new players are welcomed for the upcoming season in the U5 to U19 age divisions.

The deadline to register online for the fourth annual Leading Edge RunWild in St. Albert is April 29 at midnight through www.runwild.ca.
As of Wednesday, 1,648 registrations were processed for the 42.2-kilometre marathon, 21.1-km half-marathon run/walk, 10-km run/walk, five-km run/walk and the WildOnes Kids MaraFun for six- to 12-year-olds on May 4.
Last year 1,762 runners registered online.
The RunWild starting line is on St. Anne Street in front of St. Albert Place and the start times are 7 a.m. for the marathon, 7:05 a.m. for the half-marathon run/walk, 7:20 a.m. for the 10-km run/walk and 7:30 a.m. for the five-km run/walk.
The finish area is located on Taché Street.
The Marafun goes at 12 noon from the event stage at the post-race Celebration Village in Lions Park.
The RunWild is hosted by Leading Edge Physiotherapy in support of Edmonton’s Zebra Child Protection Centre and the St. Albert 50+ Club.

Kids of Steel
June 1 is the deadline to register for the 23rd annual St. Albert Kids of Steel Triathlon at Fountain Park Recreation Centre.
Youths between four and 19 are eligible to compete in the June 8 triathlon as an individual or as a team on a swim-bike-run course that varies in distance according to age group.
The Kids of Steel is also the provincial championships for junior elite (16 to 19) and U23 triathletes. Distances are 750-metre swim, 18.4-km bike (draft legal) and five-km run.
Last year 263 triathletes – 138 females and 125 males - and nine teams finished the race.
