St. Albert Gazette put children at risk: writer

In your Saturday, April 5th edition you published an article and photo entitled "Some simple ways to childproof your home." The article and photo will put children in St. Albert at more risk of injury and even death if its recommendations are followed.

The crib shown in the photo would not meet current safety regulations, as the raised posts in the corners have been implicated in the strangulation deaths of children in Canada. There are a multitude of other errors clearly visible as well.

I suggest that if the Gazette wishes to run such public service articles, they consult with the local public health centre.
