If anyone is looking for a good place to let your dog off leash for a walk , you may want to use the Kingswood Red Willow Park and adjoining Riverlot 56 trails. My wife and I use this area for cross country skiing and snowshoeing, using it a lot.

Thanks to STANSKI for all their hard work grooming and maintaining the area. We have a dog ourselves and leave him at home as we had always thought that it was not an off-leash area.

Apparently it is not based on the amount of dogs we see running free with their owners. Just two weeks ago I witnessed a man drive his snowmobile on the street from the Kingswood housing estate cross the road and drive right across the Red Willow Park system while people were using it.

Whenever you approach these people they get quite expletive so I guess it is time for my wife and I to look outside of St. Albert for safe cross-country skiing trails.
