On the morning of Jan. 2, between CIBC bank and Safeway in St. Albert I fell heavily on the icy sidewalk which had not been sanded or salted.

At least six people stopped and offered assistance, helped me up and made sure I was taken care of.

I do not know their names, but I wish to thank them heartily. Also the staff at the bank went out of their way to help.

As a former resident of St. Albert, I know there are many good people here, and this reinforced that thought.

Many thanks to all concerned!

Don Hacker, Sidney, B.C.
