Respect is a two-way street

I wholeheartedly agree with Laurie Fagan (Your View, Gazette, Sept. 14), that the teenagers should be allowed to "hang out and catch up after the summer."
It is the responsible adult that should be held to account for the incident that occurred. Oh no – that responsible adult is Laurie Fagan. Well, I guess Laurie should sit herself down and ask herself the question if it was responsible to allow a large group of teenagers to hang out at a neighbourhood playground that late into the evening.
Whatever noise prompted her neighbours to call the police, Laurie is in no position to pass judgment on whether or not this call was appropriate.
Rather than criticizing these "fuddy-duddy adults", Laurie should probably be thanking them for watching out for her and her neighbourhood.
