Lack of effort on the part of elected officials to address citizens' concerns

As concerned residents of Erin Ridge, we have been closely following the Eldorado Park school issue outlined in the many letters to the editor as well as the various articles published in the Gazette.
The latest letters, written by Sandy Scott and Tom Tilley, are factual and to-the-point regarding this community concerns. We would like to add, the closing of Coal Mine Road has also contributed to the increased traffic on Erin Ridge Drive, thereby adding to local concerns.
We have noted, in all of the articles published regarding the placement of a school in Eldorado Park, that while the public has clearly articulated its concerns, elected officials’ reactions have been largely negative citing procedural and legislative issues rather than developing a plan of action to address the citizens’ concerns.
One would have thought, with an election around the corner, a greater effort would be forthcoming from our elected officials.
