Fridayís mixed A-B finals in the Presidentís Cup and Managerís Cup eight-team double knockout playoffs at the St. Albert Curling Club start at 7 p.m.
If B beats A, the sudden-death match goes at 9:15 p.m.
The Presidentís Cup winner will represent St. Albert at the Edmonton and area Tournament of Champions, April 8 to 17 at the Saville Community Sports Centre.
As of Monday, 325 runners had registered online for the 28th annual St. Albert 10-Mile Road Race on April 14.
The entry fee is $55 through www.starrt.com. After April 1 it is $65.
Registration for school teams of three runners apiece is $60.
Last yearís totals for the 10-miler and the inaugural six-kilometre fun run were 554.
The all-time registration mark of 976 was set in 1998.
Last year 425 runners (236 males and 189 females) finished the 10-miler. The winner was Taylor Murphy of Edmonton in 54 minutes and one second. Shannon Maisano of St. Albert was the fastest female in 63 minutes and three seconds. Seventeen runners completed the race in less than one hour.
Race time is 9:30 a.m. and the fun run starts after the 10-miler.
The 10-miler is hosted by the St. Albert Road Runners and Triathlon Club.
The deadline for online registrations for the third annual Leading Edge RunWild Marathon in St. Albert is April 29.
Visit www.runwild.ca to enter the 42.2-kilometre marathon ($100), 21.1-km half marathon ($85), 10 km ($55), five km ($45) and the WildOnes Kids MaraFun ($25) for six- to 12-year-olds on May 5.
Last yearís registration total was 1,605.
As of Monday, online registrations included 81 for the marathon, 225 for the half-marathon, 169 for the 10 km, 142 for the 5 km and 80 for the WildOnes.
Last yearís marathon winner was Paul Kane High School athletic director Marc Meunier in 2:49:09, which was nine minutes and 12 seconds faster than his 2011 RunWild triumph in the first marathon in St. Albert history.
Of the 103 runners who started last yearís marathon 91 finished the race.
Robert Brunelle of Edmonton won the half-marathon in 1:24:51.
