The tourist information centre located with the chamber of commerce was a model of good service at a very efficient cost. The “present” location of the tourist information centre is ideal, being located right beside the major traffic corridors in St. Albert, that being St. Albert Trail and the Anthony Henday.

The staff at the chamber are incredible ambassadors for this city as they support many events in St. Albert and share this knowledge with new visitors to St. Albert. Attracting new business has been a major challenge for St. Albert and has been a campaign slogan for every election in this city for decades, however the mayor has taken another step backwards.

I also keep reading about a lack of space for city employees, yet we vacate an ideal location? It truly is a disservice to this city as the mayor has closed yet another door.

Visitors to this city spend money supporting the community and local business. I hope they reconsider this decision and work with the chamber. It is the best option.
