Morinville RCMP are asking the public for help with an investigation into an armed robbery at the Morinville Liquor Store just after 10 p.m. last Sunday.

RCMP were called to the store at 10013 103 Street following a complaint about two men who entered the store with a handgun. They restrained the store’s employee before leaving with an undisclosed amount of money and liquor.

The RCMP dog service and forensic unit were called in, and members patrolled the community for additional evidence and witnesses. The investigation continues.

Information about the armed robbery may be directed to the Morinville RCMP at 780-939-4520. Witnesses who wish to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222 TIPS (1-800-222-8477).

Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards of up to $2,000 for information that leads to an arrest, the recovery of stolen property or the seizure of illegal drugs.
