I attended the first Valentine Tea at the 50+ Club in St. Albert. I was one of the one hundred ladies and gentlemen who enjoyed the afternoon. Thanks to all who planned, prepared, served and entertained.

There are many to thank: director Val Niblock, staff and a committee of volunteers; Grade 9 students from W.D. Cuts school helped bake goodies, served tea/coffee and were involved in other aspects of the preparation. The Groovy Gang, led by Pat Gibbons, accompanied by pianist Jan Bauerfind, sang many golden oldies familiar to most of us, who sang along.

The food was delicious, good company at each table and we were treated royally. Tickets were only five dollars with generous leftovers taken home by attendees. There were three draws for three beautiful bouquets of flowers and I was one of the winners. What a wonderful event!
