Knights should go where they're neededBy: | Posted: Saturday, Feb 16, 2013 06:00 am It shouldn't take a "knight" to do a simple act of human consideration, like picking up mittens a woman unwittingly drops instead of tromping on them, and it is some time since I have met anyone, teen or adult, male or female, crass enough for the latter option. But Sharon Ryan seems to have the worst luck that way. I'm afraid any knight in figurative shining armour is apt to be either a Don Quixote or a fraud. However, I may be wrong and if she does succeed in rounding up a few she should send them directly to where they are most needed: some nursing homes where seniors, who, understandably, may really be in a weakened and disadvantaged position have been ill-treated. Dropped mittens call for far less in the way of heroics. Doris Wrench Eisler, St. Albert Comments
