What a beautiful morning for a walk with my two leashed dogs early this Tuesday … or so I thought! As I walk to the path behind my home, I am greeted by a huge pile of dog excrement! There is no way an attentive owner could have missed!

As I take my hour-long walk I can barely move five feet without coming across another big pile and a few small piles.

There is no way in the dusk or dark or even in the light that you can watch your dog to see where it relieves itself! In the winter probably because of the shortened light hours the paths are much more messy! This is so disgusting. Children play on these paths!

Maybe the councillors and mayor who do not believe that people should carry ample amounts of poop bags with them should be required to take an hour out of their day to pick up the piles along the paths!

I think people who are caught without bags or who do not have control of their dogs should be required to do at least one hour of community service picking up poop along our path systems!

I am sick and tired of paying high taxes (higher because I built backing onto a path) and then I get the honour of picking up buckets of poop every year behind my home!

It is your responsibly to pick up your dog’s excrement!
