There are new apartment buildings at the far west corner of Giroux Road. These are being marketed to lower income families and seniors seniors who cannot afford to keep a car and lower income families who often do not have the monies for a car.

Yet here is the City of St. Albert not addressing the immediacy of having St. Albert transit provide services at the site of these new apartments. And for lower income families, no school district provides busing to children who will live here.

Why? The mayor and St. Albert Transit have known for a decade that bus service will be a factor when lower income residents look for a place to live. One would think the bus service would already be serving Nevada Place. Mr. Mayor, use your authority to take a stand here.

Sally McBride, St. Albert
