Mr. Burkhart, may I suggest you simply Google the issue and you will learn what most of us already know. It was the Liberal Party under the leadership of Jean Chretien and Paul Martin that transferred the $57 billion UI surplus to general revenues so they could falsely claim that they had balanced the budget and reduced the deficit. Don't let your dislike of Mr. Harper blind you to the facts. I suggest an apology and retraction would be in order. John Ness, St. Albert Comments
