Unplowed streets sparks thoughts of election day

I am totally frustrated with the lack of action in cleaning the snow from my residential area. As happens every time there is a heavy snowfall, our cul-de-sac is impassible and we have to dig and push out vehicles (and yes, even four-wheel-drive vehicles get stuck).
Despite several calls to public works, there has been no activity. Even my entreaties because of a terminally ill relative and our need to have one 20-metre patch bladed (the grader stopped short of this patch while cleaning the bus route) so that my wife can answer an emergency call went unheeded.
Well, there will be an election soon and maybe a new city council that believes service to residents is a high priority will find a solution to this ongoing problem. St. Albert's inability to respond to a common but serious problem is yet another indicator of tax money spent on the wrong priorities.
