Midget AAA gamesThe St. Albert Raiders skate twice this weekend in Alberta Midget AAA hockey. Tonight the Raiders (5-1-2) visit the Fort Saskatchewan Rangers (1-5-2) at 8 p.m. and Sunday the north division co-leaders host the Calgary Flames (5-1-2) at 3:45 p.m. at Akinsdale Arena. The Raiders are undefeated in three games and their home record is 3-1-1. Flyers at homeTonight’s home opener for the St. Albert Flyers in the Alberta Minor Midget AAA Hockey League starts at 8 p.m. against the Leduc Oil Kings at Akinsdale Arena. The Flyers (3-1-1) are coming off their first loss of the season, 2-1 against the Canadian Athletic Club (3-0-1) last weekend in Edmonton. Curtis Peck scored his second goal of the season and Pat Dea (2-1-1, 1.50 GAA) stopped 32 shots. The last game for Leduc (2-4) was Tuesday’s 9-5 loss to the SSAC Bulldogs (5-1-1), the top north division team. Slash weekendThe St. Albert Slash have two games scheduled this weekend in the Alberta Major Midget Female Hockey League. Today at 2 p.m. the Slash (5-3-1) play the Lloydminster Steelers (2-4-4) in Provost and Sunday they entertain the Grande Prairie Storm (4-5-3) at 11 a.m. at Northstar Hyundai Arena. Sabres in actionThe St. Albert Sabres play three bantam AAA games in four days, starting this afternoon in Fort Saskatchewan. Puck drop is 3:45 p.m. against the Rangers (2-6-1). The Sabres also host the KC Squires (2-6) Monday at 6:45 p.m. and the Sherwood Park Flyers (4-1-3) Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Akinsdale Arena. The Sabres (1-7) are winless in six games. Comments
