Impaired driving laws make life difficult

I sat down with breakfast and started reading the Gazette like I do every Saturday morning. First thing I read, ďStiffer penalties kick in this long weekend for people caught behind the wheel with a blood-alcohol content below the criminal limit.Ē (Sept. 1, Gazette)
I had groceries to buy and being the upstanding, law abiding citizen that I am, Iím thinking, what do I do. I donít want to get nabbed for being below the criminal limit, so I had a couple of Caesars and a couple of shots.
It nearly killed me. Couldnít get out of the chair. With these new laws, I donít know if Iíll ever get those groceries.
