A A

I sat down with breakfast and started reading the Gazette like I do every Saturday morning. First thing I read, “Stiffer penalties kick in this long weekend for people caught behind the wheel with a blood-alcohol content below the criminal limit.” (Sept. 1, Gazette)

I had groceries to buy and being the upstanding, law abiding citizen that I am, I’m thinking, what do I do. I don’t want to get nabbed for being below the criminal limit, so I had a couple of Caesars and a couple of shots.

It nearly killed me. Couldn’t get out of the chair. With these new laws, I don’t know if I’ll ever get those groceries.
